Molly Chompers is one of those gems that only small town North Carolina can serve up. Local ingenuity married to the produce the surrounding land provides produces the sweetest and best offspring. As the name implies it is a cidery of the highest calibre I have ever run across. Bring a pizza from nearby Pie on the Mountain and you will treat yourself to the best destination food and drink experiences this world has to offer!

Such a great stop off the beaten path and well worth the drive! We were staying in Boone for a few days, but took a scenic drive up to West Jefferson, and Molley Chomper was only a few minutes away. The cider was excellent! We sat outside by the firepit, and got to chat with a lovely couple from Louisiana. The atmosphere was relaxing and fun, and we enjoyed our time here.

Stopped in after a day of hiking at Grayson Highlands — and what an amazing find! Gorgeous and tremendously fun atmosphere, super friendly folks, and absolutely amazing cider. Unique flavors with local fruit, including some apples not grown outside of southern Appalachia! I got a flight and loved them all; I’d say the Waterfall Farm Maple was my favorite. We brought sandwiches from The Liar’s Bench just up the road and enjoyed some delicious cupcakes from a bake sale that was being hosted inside to benefit local families. A true WNC gem! I hope to be back soon.

Cute place for wine and cider. Bring your own food or choose some light snacks they offer. We sat inside and it was nice. Outside is lovely with a fireplace and plenty of seating. There is plenty of parking as well.

I had heard about Molly Chomper and was excited to visit on a recent camping trip. The location is awesome. It is comfortable and my 10yo was right at home playing chess. I enjoyed tasting some of the ciders. I prefer non sweet ciders and the complexity of the various offerings were great to taste. I will definitely be back.

Three of us went in the spur of the moment. I had been before but my friends had not. We all enjoyed some delicious cider and live music. It is beautifully decorated and the music was fun. People of all ages were enjoying a nice day out.

The finest hard cider I’ve ever tasted! Each flavor was perfectly on point. On our first visit, we ordered a sampler and enjoyed a variety of options. My favorite flavor is Mountain Maelstrom! There are charcuterie options in the fridge, and food trucks on occasion. The service is always outstanding, inside the tasting room is gorgeous, and there is a lovely fire pit outside. I highly recommend making a stop here if in the area! If you aren’t, make a trip off the beaten path to visit Molley Chomper!
